About eGrove Education
eGrove Education co-founders Nate Delson and Lelli Van Den Einde are both Teaching Professors at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). We see firsthand the importance of sketching when our students are working on design projects and sharing concepts with teammates.
In 2012 we started a research project at UCSD to implement our vision of replacing sketching on paper with drawing on a touchscreen. We taught our first trial class using iPads in 2013 and in 2015 published our findings in an award-winning paper. In 2016 we founded eGrove Education to further develop and commercialize educational software.
Our team is committed to the vision of improving education through intelligent sketching environments that provide feedback similar to an expert teacher looking over the shoulder of a student. Our goal is to expand our products to cover a wide range of educational areas where sketching is used. We are all very proud of the results of our classroom trials are happy to help educators with our products.
