("us", "we", or "our") operates the https://egrove.education website (the “Website”), and accompanying Spatial Vis Engineering, Spatial Vis Classroom, Spatial Vis, and Spatial Kids apps (the "Service"). The Service is solely for the benefit of students and the school system and is specific to the educational context.

  • You have the right to access your personal information stored with us to ensure that it is accurate, complete and current.

  • You have the right to have your personal information deleted from our Service. However, by requesting personal information to be deleted, you will be unable to access the Service.

  • Personal Information associated with an account will be destroyed after a year of inactivity within the Service.

Usage Information

We collect usage data within our app. This data is used to create a better Service. We will never share usage data through which the user is identifiable with any third party without explicit approval from the end user (e.g. if a user explicitly allows a teacher in their class to view usage data). However, we may publish aggregate de-identified data in which usage statistics from many users is averaged together.

The usage information that is collected by the website includes:

Education Privacy

The Service is solely for the benefit of students and the school system and is specific to the educational context and protecting student information is very important to us. eGrove Education Inc. does not collect Personal Information from students for commercial or marketing purposes. eGrove Education Inc. complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which prohibits the release of education records without student permission, and other applicable online privacy laws.

It is important to note that our Terms of Use require a user of the Service to be: 

  • Age 13 or older

  • Or one of the following:

    • an IT Administrator acting on behalf of a Qualified Educational Institution,

    • an Educator,

    • a Student,

    • a parent of a Student.

If a student is under 13, an account for the Service must be created on their behalf by:

  • the child’s parent or legal guardian, or

  • a school on behalf of a child as the parent’s agent

A student that registers for a course will have their personal information and usage data shared with the instructor of that course to allow the instructor to monitor student progress with the Service.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

In the event of a data or security incident that has been confirmed and resulted in the exposure of Customer PII, eGrove will communicate to the customer within 48 hours of discovery. Communication will include the scope of the issue and the identification of the individuals impacted.
